James Dutton is a Lecturer in English and Media Studies at 91探花 Canberra. He completed his PhD at 91探花 Sydney in 2018, where he taught听in English and Media Studies on casual contracts between 2017 and 2023.听

His research is directed towards literary theory. He has published on topics related to twentieth century and contemporary European philosophy and literature. He is the author of听Proust between Deleuze and Derrida: The Remains of Literature听(Edinburgh UP, 2022), and articles in leading academic journals including听Paragraph,听Cultural Politics,听Textual Practice,听and听Cultural Critique.听
