My research harnesses linked, large-scale healthcare data to explore how medicines are used in everyday settings and to evaluate their safety outside of clinical trials. I focus primarily on medicine use and safety before, during, and after pregnancy—an area where evidence is often limited. Currently, my work centers on the use of opioids, both for pain management and in the treatment of opioid dependence. You can find more information on past and ongoing projects at . I am committed to strengthening the evidence base for medicine use in these high-priority, but often under-researched, populations. Ultimately, my goal is to produce high-quality evidence that informs policy and supports women and their healthcare providers in making well-informed decisions about treatmentÌý and care.Ìý
